About this Dog
Animal Profile: Brooklyn is an adorable chihuahua mix who is estimated to be around 5 years old (though we suspect a bit younger) and is only 5lbs. We suspect he may be mixed with rat terrier or a similar breed mix. He is as sweet as can be! Brooklyn was rescued from a high kill shelter in San Bernardino, CA. He was terrified and shut down at the shelter, but was nothing but tail wags and eager to give kisses the moment he arrived in Seattle. Foster Update: Meet Brooklyn! This boy really has it all, even in his tiny compact size. His favorite pass times are playing, with snuggling as a close second. He loves to steal cat toys, is eager to play fetch and will state adoringly in your eyes and cuddle. He has an adorable habit of hugging humans wrists, it's pretty cute! Brooklyn gets very excited when he encounters other dog on his walks and would love a canine buddy to run and play with. He has also been living with 2 cats and gets along with them well (he is good about leaving them alone). Brooklyn can be a little fussy in his crate at first, but settles down after a few minutes and sleeps through the night. Now don't let this guy's tiny size full you - he is packed with energy and eager to play, explore, and engage! He would love an active lifestyle that can keep his body and mind stimulated and engaged. He'd also love the opportunity to end his evenings curled up by you and enjoy a good snuggle. We are looking to place Brooklyn in a home with another playful companion. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, andhealth certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue. Adopt Brooklyn and Receive Brooklyn's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Brooklyn's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Brooklyn's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Brooklyn, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Brooklyn's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Brooklyn was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Brooklyn’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Brooklyn’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Brooklyn’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
