Animal Profile: Toby is a sweet pup who's owner has decided to rehome him due to personal health issues. He has lived with other dogs, but has not been around cats that we know of. Toby loves balls, is playful and enjoys all the people he meets. Toby will be joining us on Sunday 7/13 and we will share more about him once he is settled in. Foster Update: Toby is a sweet short stack who is looking for his new home. Toby is a mellow dog who is always ready to go for a walk, but otherwise is content to relax and lounge around the house. So far he hasn't shown much interest in running or playing, but he is very interested in snuggling on your lap. Toby is generally mild mannered and will respond to "down" if he jumps up on something. He also seems to respond to "let's go" or "okay" on leash. Toby isn't particularly food motivated but is a sweet and well behaved boy. The main thing that Toby is now working on is being calm and quiet in the crate when left home alone. Toby enjoys his crate and sees it as his space; he will let himself into the crate independently and will snooze there during the day. He continues to make progress on being left home alone and we are confident that he will get there with continued practice and commitment. In public, Toby is calm but a little shy around new people and dogs and generally ignores other people and dogs. He walks nicely on the leash without pulling and is attentive to the movement of his handler. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575, which includes spay/neuter, current rabies/DAPPV/bordetella vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and heartworm test. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue. This dog will be available for adoption in Seattle once evaluated.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Toby was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Toby’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Toby’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Toby’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
