About this Dog
Animal Profile: Dokey is a sweet pup who's owner has decided to rehome her due to personal health issues. She has lived with other dogs and does well with cats. Dokey will be joining us on Sunday 7/13 and we will share more about her once he is settled in. Foster Update: Dokey is a new arrival to Seattle but settling in nicely! She is good with the resident cat in her foster home and appears to be mostly potty trained. She's friendly with everyone and mostly ignores dogs but can bark at the most exciting things like running kiddos or the occasional dog. She loves to chase birds and can be active for walks, but is content to chill out after an activity. Dokey is still practicing her crate manners and getting used to being left alone, but she is relatively quiet. More to come as we continue to get to know her in foster care. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575, which includes spay/neuter, current rabies/DAPPV/bordetella vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and heartworm test. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue. Apply online at www.DogGoneSeattle.org Animal History: This dog was taken in by our rescue partner in Oklahoma and is being transported via Furry Freight, arriving to Seattle 7/13/25. This dog will be available for adoption in Seattle once evaluated in foster care.

Adopt Dokey and Receive Dokey's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Dokey's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Dokey's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Dokey, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Dokey's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Dokey was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Dokey’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Dokey’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Dokey’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
