About this Dog
Animal Profile: Data is a 4-year-old, 45 lb cattle dog mix who came to us from a California shelter. We will share more about Data once he is settled in. Foster Update: Where are my herding dog lovers?? Data is a super sweet guy who has been great with all humans and other dogs. He is a gentle soul who sees his crate as his safe space and retreats there when he is afraid, but is becoming more and more comfortable every day. He is crate and potty trained and slightly overweight, but is enjoying his daily 2-3 mile walks which are great for him. While he doesn't seem to have had much experience on a leash he is doing well on it! He may have come from an abuse/neglect situation as he can be fearful of loud noises and sudden movements and cars, so a place outside the hustle and bustle of the city would probably be best. He would also appreciate a confident dog companion to show him the ropes and help him find his own confidence. He overcame his fear of the stairs in less than a week with calm, patient reinforcement, so he is very capable of learning to be his best self with good leadership. He is a soft soul who has already come a long way in just a couple of weeks! Breed experience is preferred but not mandatory. Dog respectful kids ok. Stay tuned for more updates! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, recent exam with a veterinarian, and microchip with lifetime registration. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue. Adopt Data and Receive Data's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Data's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Data's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Data, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Data's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Data was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Data’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Data’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Data’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
