About this Dog
Please go to our website for all specific information about this dog. Our info doesn't transfer over to the adoption sites. Emmie came to us about ready to have babies. She was living with someone in a van for 5 months before we took her in. With a ton of heartache, and several ER visits, none of her 14 huge babies survived. They had a great dane daddy. We knew she was thin but once all the babies were out of her, we discovered that she was completely emaciated! It's now time for Emmie to be someone's beloved girl for the rest of her life! She is affectionate, lovable, good energy, loves to play fetch! She's quiet and easy in a crate while in foster care. Here's the biggie, she cannot eat any kibble at all, nor does she drink water. We do not know why. We originally fed her forms of raw diet (dehydrated, frozen etc) but have her on canned food and she's doing great. When we tried to add the smallest amount of kibble to these diets, she got screaming diarrhea, so we quit trying to introduce it. She gets 2 cans of Natures Domain dog food a day now and is the perfect picture of health. We understand that she's always been an only pet so we want that for her future. As far as her dog social skills, she's been unreactive to any dogs on the other side of a fence, crate on a walk. We were told she's better with males than females Her new family must be homeowners with a securely fenced yard, no exceptions. Prior to adoption, our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and parasite treated/prevented.

Adopt Emmie and Receive Emmie's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Emmie's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Emmie's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Emmie, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Emmie's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Emmie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Emmie’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Emmie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Emmie’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
