About this Dog
Delilah is a 6 1/2 year-old 70lb Catahoula leopard dog. She is a very sweet girl, loves laying in the sun more than anything else, and sleeping in lots of blankets, stealing your spot on the couch, loves cuddling in bed. Loves fresh sourdough, and ice, and comes running when she hears toast being made, or apples being cut. Loves to chase squirrels and birds, but never actually pursues. She’s great with kids, has had a baby and toddlers around her whole life. Loves to play chase, fetch, and exploring. Eats two dinners and no breakfasts haha Has never been super great on the leash, but we’ve been raising young children and haven’t had much free time to work with her. She used to be absolutely wonderful with other dogs, but has shown aggression recently when owners around. We’re unsure if this is a forever issue, but it’s something we use a lot of caution with now. She likes to dig and explore, so secure yards a must. She’s healthy other than some fatty tumors we’ve yet to get removed. We hope she finds a loving home, with someone who has patience, love, tenderness and time for her. She deserves all the love and attention and sourdough she can get! We truly love her with all our hearts. I have over 1000 photos of her on my phone, and saying goodbye is the hardest thing we’ve ever had to do, but we’re currently facing homing issues and health issues ourselves and need to do what’s best for her and find her a new home.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Delilah was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Delilah’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Delilah’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Delilah’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
