About this Dog
Meet Luna! What a darling girl she is. Luna is a lovely Chihuahua mix, around one year old. She is friendly and very affectionate. She likes to tuck her head in your neck and snuggle for a while. She needs a moment to warm up in unfamiliar situations but it takes her only 5 minutes. She did not come from a great start and does not know much - leash walking is new for her and needs a bit of work. She is well potty trained though and no trouble in the home. She can alert bark here and there but it is not excessive by any means. She likes other dogs (she arrived with her brother Benny who she adores). We have not seen Luna with children but we think older kids over 8 years will be best for her. We do not know how she is with cats. Luna is such a lovely girl and we would love to see her with a wonderful family. From her foster mom: Luna is so playful and would LOVE to have a buddy to play with. She can be a little bossy with shy dogs, but she's ready to tussle and play any time. She's been fantastic about not having potty accidents in the house at all and she will sleep in her crate all night or when I leave the house. She takes a minute to warm up to new people, but after a few minutes, she's ready to get pets and attention. She loves to carry a toy around in her mouth and when she is ready for a snuggle break will drop it next to you and crawl up on your lap. She has been good with my cat, but you'd want to do a slow intro to cats. Definitely needs some practice on a leash, but she knows some other commands (sit, shake) and is eager to learn and very food-motivated. I adore this little nugget. Luna is vaccinated, spayed and chipped. Her adoption fee is $450

Adopt Luna and Receive Luna's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Luna's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Luna's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Luna, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Luna's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Luna was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Luna’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Luna’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Luna’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
