Meet AngelicaAngelica is a sweet, gentle soul just over a year old. For much of her early life, she lived outdoors as a stray, where she faced many challenges—and more than a few scary encounters. Fortunately, she also met kind humans along the way who helped her begin to trust.On May 1, 2025, Angelica gave birth to six beautiful kittens. Since then, she has been living indoors and is perfectly content staying inside. She is litter box trained, easy to bathe and brush, and does well in a carrier and at the vet. While her long, soft coat is prone to matting and will need regular grooming, she’s very cooperative with care.Angelica adores people and shows affection with tender headbutts—reserved for her chosen few. After watching her behavior at the adoption center, we feel it best that she be an only cat. She hasn’t had the chance to meet dogs yet, so her reaction to them is unknown. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Angelica was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Angelica’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Angelica’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Angelica’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
