About this Cat
Hi, my name is Cali and I can really use your help. You see, I lost my person and my extended family really wanted to help me but they have some other 4 legged critters, and well, that is NOT my cup of tea. SCC is helping me to find me a new person that needs a friend - let's face it, who doesn't need a friend. So, the transition with SCC has been a bit rough - until I was moved to a foster that doesn't have any other cats getting in my space. As you can see, I am a fluffy girl and I must admit - that it is not all fur! I am a bit of a chunky girl, during the transition, I had gotten matted and with all of the changes, I wasn't really happy with strangers trying to clip the matts. Now that I have had some removed, I realize that they were all just trying to help me feel better - and I really do. I actually had a spa day that included a sani-shave and even a bath! I have to say, 5 stars, I HIGHLY recommend. Granted, it was not pleasant at the time, but I feel 1000% better. I really do like to be brushed, that is something we can do together to bond and keep it from getting matted again. I do think that I would benefit with a regular sani-shave. Now, as for the rest of my story... I am about 8 years old, I haven't been around other cats or dogs until all of these changes. I think I would really benefit from being in a quiet home with someone that is home more. I am about 15 pounds and could benefit from losing weight. I can be a bit playful, so, maybe we can play and help me to get more active. As for the kids, I am getting better, but when I get annoyed, I have been known to give warning bites. Not hard, and not enough to break the skin - so, the younger kids would probably not be able to understand my "cat signs" I am definitely an indoor only girl, I have a perch bed that I really like and would be happy to sit and watch the world go by. I am microchipped, current on my vaccines and very good with the litterbox.

Adopt Cali and Receive Cali's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Cali's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Cali's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Cali, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Cali's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Cali was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Cali’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Cali’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Cali’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
