Name: Moo Best Guess for Breed: Shepherd and boxer mix Best Guess for Age: 1.5 years as of JUly 2025 SEX: Male Approximate Weight: 49 lbs Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Currently Living at: South Carolina shelter - needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here! Moo is Looking For: His forever home! This sweetie is a young boy and hasn't seen nearly enough of the world. He's eagerly looking forward to having his own humans for romps in the park and all the adventures they can dream up. And dog school so he can show how super smart he is. And then pets and cuddles and belly scritches at the end of a fun day together. And he'll want quality kibble and a cushy dog bed. And a name change too, please. He swears he neither makes a mooing sound nor lactates. Most of all, though, he wants to know he's safe and loved. In exchange he promises all the adoring gazes and happy tail wags he's storing up, and loyal companionship for all his days. What do you say? Is Moo the one you see by your side? For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Moo was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Moo’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Moo’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Moo’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
