About this Dog
CLOVERLEAF NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!! Name: Cloverleaf Best Guess for Breed: Lab mix Best Guess for Age: 1 year as of October 2024 Gender: Female Approximate Weight: 65 lbs Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen her with kids but she can be tested. We do not recommend her for a home with cats. Currently Living At: DC area boarding partner Cloverleaf is Looking For: A family who will love an independent spirit! She landed in the shelter through no fault of her own and is oh so eager to once again have her own humans for sniffy walks and all the adventures they can dream up. She's pretty young, just about a year old, and is eager to see and experience the world! To explore all the toys! To go to dog school to learn to be the bestest girl! And to make new pup and people pals along the way! What she wants most of all, though, is to love and be loved, to know where she belongs, to know she's under her own roof every time the sun goes down. In exchange she promises adoring gazes and happy tail wags and snuggles and loyal companionship. What do you say? Is Cloverleaf the companion you have been seeking? What My Foster Says About Me: Cloverleaf is such a sweetheart and is a perfect houseguest. She is super food motivated and loves to show off how well she can sit. As soon as she figures out someone has treats, she sits and stares intently to remind you that she is very talented and deserves to be rewarded as such. She's the perfect combo of energy to play fetch with her favorite toy (tennis balls) but is also happy to sit on the couch for love! She walked really well on a leash (as long as those squirrels didn't taunt her) and even went on a trip into CVS where she was the perfect customer. Inside the apartment, she only chewed on the toys and left everything else alone. Cloverleaf has SO much love to give and is ready to be in her forever home. Medical: Cloverleaf has completed the heartworm treatment and activity restriction period, and is awaiting her 6-month follow up test! This pup is part of a groundbreaking study we are conducting at our South Carolina Rescue Campus that has the potential to change the way shelters across the United States treat heartworm positive dogs. All dogs in the study are placed at random in either the 2 shot or 3 shot protocol with strictly monitored protocols in place. Four weeks following their final injection, the pups are eligible to transport to the DC area for placement in foster or adoptive care. After treatment concludes, we work with adopters to arrange a free follow up heartworm test after 6 months, followed by a second test at 9 months. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training. TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $475, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations, spay/neuter, and heartworm treatment. If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online at bit.ly/adoptaluckydog Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. Adopt Cloverleaf and Receive Cloverleaf's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Cloverleaf's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Cloverleaf's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Cloverleaf, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Cloverleaf's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Cloverleaf was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Cloverleaf’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Cloverleaf’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Cloverleaf’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
