Name: Roscoe Best Guess for Breed: Lab mix Best Guess for Age: 10 months as of August 2025 SEX: Male Approximate Weight: 36 lbs as of 7/28/25; likely has a bit more to grow! Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Currently Living at: South Carolina shelter- needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here! Roscoe is Looking For: Sniffy walks, romps in the park, all the adventures his family can dream up! This young boy has so much to see and do - and wants to do it all by the side of his humans. Making pup pals along the way would be great too, along with quality kibble and a cushy dog bed. But you know what he wants most of all? To know where he belongs, to be safe and loved for all his days. In exchange, he promises so many adoring gazes and loyal companionship. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Roscoe was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Roscoe’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Roscoe’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Roscoe’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
