LUCY NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Come meet Lucy and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (08/03) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in XXX (3351 Richmond Highway, Alexandria, VA 22305)! Name: Lucy Best Guess for Breed: Labradoodle (Lab and poodle mix) Best Guess for Age: 1 year as of June 2025 SEX: Female Approximate Weight: 51 lbs Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Currently Living at: DC area foster home Check out this video of Lucy: https://youtube.com/shorts/5Mm0e2sBgqE Lucy is Looking For: Her forever home! She was nursing her nine babies (Knox, Kenobi, Kisses, Karoli, Ketty, Klint, Komet, Keeper, Kido) when she arrived into our care - she was an amazing mama and they went off to find their families. Now Lucy is ready to get her very own humans. She's a young girl and eager to run and play and explore the world. Quality kibble and a cushy dog bed are on her wish list, as is attending dog school so she can show how super smart she is. And - this is criticial - DAILY brushing and regular professional grooming. That is a high-maintenance coat and mats hurt! Most of all, though, she wants to know she's safe and loved and under her own roof. And upon whom to bestow all the adoring gazes she's saving up - all the love and loyalty in her body. What do you say? Will you be the lucky recipient? What My Foster Says About Me: Lucy is such a sweet, gentle, submissive girl. She gets along great with other dogs at the dog park and has very polite manners with other dogs. She is doing well with the crate and housetraining, and walks nicely on a leash. All Lucy wants to do is receive belly rubs and hang out with her human! Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training. TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online at bit.ly/adoptaluckydog . Adopt Lucy and Receive Lucy's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Lucy's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Lucy's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Lucy, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Lucy's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Lucy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Lucy’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Lucy’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Lucy’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
