ZURI NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Come meet Zuri and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (07/27) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Silver Spring, MD (12020 Cherry Hill Rd, Silver Spring, MD 20904)! Name: Zuri Best Guess for Breed: Shepherd/cattle dog mix Best Guess for Age: 1.5 years as of Feb 2025 SEX: female Approximate Weight: 42 lbs Gets Along With: Other dogs!We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters. This beautiful girl is out of her youngest puppy days but still has all that awesome young-dog energy. She's eager to have her own humans for long sniffy walks, romps in the park, and exploring the world - she hasn't seen nearly enough of it. She'd love to make pup pals along the way, too. Quality kibble, cushy dog beds, peanut butter-filled Kongs - yes, please. But you know what she wants most of all? To know where she belongs, to know she's safe and loved for all her days. What My Foster Says About Me: Zuri is a very sweet girl! She has a very gentle temperament. She is a bit shy in new environments and looks to her people or to other dogs for guidance and confidence. She is really great around people and other dogs and is learning to play with her toys. She loves her walks! She's working on learning "sit" and not to pull on the leash, both of which she is picking up on really fast. She's a smart girl! Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training. TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Zuri was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Zuri’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Zuri’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Zuri’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
