CELINE NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Celine Best Guess for Breed: Cain Terrier/Terrier mix Best Guess for Age: 1 year as of April 2025 Gender: Female Approximate Weight: 45 lbs Gets Along With: Celine does well with other dogs and needs to go to a home with a welcoming resident dog because she is shy - the resident dog will help show her the ropes. We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Currently Living At: DC area foster home Check out this video of Celine: https://youtube.com/shorts/5Mm0e2sBgqE Celine is Looking For: Her forever family! She wants nothing more than to trot through the world with all the confidence of a well loved dog. Right now, though, she hasn't seen enough of it and is shy in new places. She's looking for extra patient and loving adopters who will help her move at her pace, and a welcoming resident dog who will show her how to dog! Most of all, though, she wants to know she's safe and loved and under her own roof. In exchange she promises adoring gazes and loyal companionship for all her days. What do you say? Can you see this sweet scruffy girl by your side? What My Foster Says About Me: Coming soon! Heartworm Information: Celine was heartworm positive, but this Lucky Dog got extra lucky! This pup is part of a groundbreaking study we are conducting at our South Carolina Rescue Campus that has the potential to change the way shelters across the United States treat heartworm positive dogs. All dogs in the study are placed at random in either the 2 shot or 3 shot protocol with strictly monitored protocols in place. Four weeks following their final injection, the pups are eligible to transport to the DC area for placement in foster or adoptive care. After treatment concludes, we work with adopters to arrange a free follow up heartworm test after 6 months, followed by a second test at 9 months. Celine has completed the treatment and activity restriction phase, and is awaiting her six month follow up test. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training. TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $475, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations, spay/neuter, and heartworm treatment. Adopt Celine and Receive Celine's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Celine's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Celine's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Celine, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Celine's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Celine was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Celine’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Celine’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Celine’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
