About this Dog
ADINA NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Adina Best Guess for Breed: Lab mix Best Guess for Age: 2 years as of March 2024 SEX: Female Approximate Weight: 45 lbs Gets Along With: Adina does well with other dogs and needs to go to a home with a welcoming resident dog. We haven't seen her with cats but she can be tested. Because she is shy, we do not recommend her for a home with children under the age of 12. Currently Living at: South Carolina shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get her freedom ride up here! Special adoption considerations: Adina is a truly Lucky Dog. Although she has tested positive for heartworms, treatment has been scheduled! Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets, but results from mosquito bites. Heartworm, if left untreated, is life threatening, but after treatment, dogs that were heartworm positive should suffer no significant long-term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly heartworm preventative. Heartworm dogs can resume full active and normal lives, but need to be kept calm for 4-6 weeks after treatment. We are happy to talk more in depth about heartworm disease and treatment during the screening process. Because Adina is shy, she needs to go to a home with a confident, welcoming resident dog. Due to her shy personality, we do not recommend her for a home with children under the age of 12. Adina is Looking For: Her forever home! This sweet shy girl landed in the shelter through no fault of her own. She's closed that chapter and is eagerly looking ahead to her next - the one where she once again has her own humans and is under her own roof. She would love to trot through the world with all the confidence of a well-loved dog. Right now she doesn't have enough experience in various environments and is shy. She'd love to have extra loving and patient adopters who help her gain that experience - and a friendly resident dog who shows her how to dog. Adina has so much love and affection to offer - so much desire to be a loyal companion. What do you say? Will she be yours? What My Foster Says About Me: We will update this once she has arrived in the DC area and spent some time with her foster Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training. TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $475, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations, spay/neuter, and heartworm treatment. Adopt Adina and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Adina's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Adina's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Adina, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Adina's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Adina was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Adina’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Adina’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Adina’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
