About this Dog
MILLER NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Come meet Miler and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (May 19th) from 12-3 pm at the Petsmart in Falls Church (6100A Arlington Blvd, Falls Church, VA 22044)! Name: Miller Best Guess for Breed: Lab and hound mix Best Guess for Age: 3 years as of March 2024 SEX: Male Approximate Weight: 37 lbs Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen him with kids or cats but he can be tested Currently Living at: DC area foster home. Miller is Looking For: His forever home! Through no fault of his own, this sweet boy ended up in the shelter. That isn't awesome for him because he is missing his right eye and it seems like his left eye isn't 20/20. He can see, but is slow to navigate in new environments and might bump into things. So you know what Miller wants most of all, right? To have his own forever home where the furniture isn't constantly moving around! He's eager to once again have his own humans to trot alongside on all those adventures - his sniffer works perfectly well and he's looking forward to exploring the world with it! Most of all, though, he just wants to once again be a well loved dog, under his own roof for all his days. In exchange, he promises all the love and loyalty and happy tail wags his humans could ever want. What My Foster Says About Me: Miller is an endearing little pup who is always happy to see his foster parents and his foster sister. While he may not have the best sight, it doesn’t slow him down when playing with our resident dog, and they enjoy a good sprint around the yard. He also responds well and adapts quickly to other dogs’ cues when playing! While on walks he politely passes people and other dogs, but does enjoy the chance to meet a new friend! Being outside clearly makes Miller happy, as he constantly has his nose to the ground to sniff something new, or has his head tipped back, nose in the air, sniffing his surroundings. He sometimes does startle in response to something he didn’t fully see, but a few words of reassurance help him reorient to his surroundings and move on to the next thing to sniff. Miller can pull a bit on walks when he wants to but he’s very responsive when we call him to come back to our sides—on walks or otherwise. Speaking of training, he hasn’t had an accident inside the house at all, and sleeps calmly in his crate overnight! Miller is a very sweet pup who clearly has a lot of love to give and is looking for someone to love him back! Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training. TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. Adopt Miller and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Miller's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Miller's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Miller, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Miller's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Miller was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Miller’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Miller’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Miller’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
