About this Dog
TATUM NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Tatum Best Guess for Breed: Corgi and Australian shepherd mix Best Guess for Age: 3 years as of June 2025 SEX: Female Approximate Weight: 34 lbs Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Currently Living at: South Carolina shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here. Special adoption considerations: Tatum is a truly Lucky Dog. She tested positive for heartworms, but landed in a place where heartworm treatment is provided! Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets, but results from mosquito bites. Heartworm, if left untreated, is life threatening, but after treatment, dogs that were heartworm positive should suffer no significant long-term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly heartworm preventative. Heartworm dogs can resume full active and normal lives, but need to be kept calm for 4-6 weeks after treatment. We are happy to discuss where in the treatment process this Lucky Dog is in right now! Just email the adoption coordinator - the address is at lower left! Tatum is Looking For: Her forever home! This sweetie did an amazing job raising her babies Talia, Tessa, Tilly, Tony, Trina, and Tyla, and they're off to get their own homes. Now she's seeking her humans for getting and giving all that affection and love. And for long sniffy walks and romps in parks and adventures - she's a young girl and can't wait to see more of the world! Most of all, though, she wants to know she's safe and loved and under her own roof. Where she belongs and upon whom to bestow all her adoring gazes and loyal companionship. What do you say? Will you be the lucky recipient? What My Foster Says About Me: We will update this once she has spent some time in foster care. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training. TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $475, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations, spay/neuter, and heartworm treatment. If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online at bit.ly/adoptaluckydog Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. Adopt Tatum and Receive Tatum's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Tatum's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Tatum's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Tatum, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Tatum's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Tatum was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Tatum’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Tatum’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Tatum’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
