PILSNER NEEDS A FOREVER HOME! Come meet Pilsner and other great adoptable cats this Sunday (08/03) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in XXX (3351 Richmond Highway, Alexandria, VA 22305)! Name: Pilsner Best Guess for Breed: Domestic Short Hair Age: 3 years DOB: 3/5/22 SEX: male Approximate Weight: 10.2lbs Coloring: Brown Tabby Type of Hair: Short Gets Along With: With proper integration, Pilsner will likely get along with other cats, dogs and kids with an acclimation period. We’re happy to help with tips and tricks! Currently Living at: Foster in the DC area I am Looking For: My loving forever family! Hi! I'm Pilsner, and I am a cute little kitty! I won’t ask for much- just some love, cuddles and lots of toys so I can run and play and be my kitty self. What my Foster Says About Me: What Makes Pilsner Special This sweet boy is more than just playful—he’s also deeply affectionate and emotionally connected. While Pilsner initially experienced separation anxiety, it has steadily improved over time, and he’s becoming more comfortable being on his own. During those moments when he wants your love and attention, he’ll gently nudge you with his head—his special way of saying, “I’m here and I adore you.” Pilsner is also quite the character when it comes to his quirks. One of his favorite pastimes? Drinking from the running faucet at the bathroom sink. He’ll hop up, wait patiently, and sip from the stream—it’s just one of his many endearing routines that’ll make you smile. He thrives on companionship and wants to be close to his person. Be prepared for a transition period where he may cry when left alone, but with time and patience, he’s learning to self-soothe and adjust. Pilsner’s high energy can lead to playful (and sometimes overly enthusiastic) nips, so gentle redirection is helpful. On the plus side, he’s cooperative for nail trims and thrives in structured routines. Pilsner Pros: Center of attention and your shadow. Enjoys exploring and playing. A true acrobat with energy to spare. Loves attention and gives heart-melting head nudges. Drinking from faucets and making you laugh is part of the deal. Things to Consider: Separation Anxiety – Seems to be temporary during the initial adjustment period. Playful Biting – Comes from excitement; needs gentle redirection. What the Shelter Says About Me: Hi I'm Pilsner! I am still pretty shy but am the sweetest boy that absolutely loves chin scratches. I'm in search of my forever home where I can sunbathe all day and sleep on a nice big couch whenever I please. TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for adult cats is $200 ($350 for two cats adopted together). The adoption fee for a kitten (under 7 months old) is $220 ($380 for two kittens adopted together). If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online at bit.ly/adoptaluckycat. Adopt Pilsner and Receive Pilsner's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Pilsner's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Pilsner's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Pilsner, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Pilsner's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Pilsner was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Pilsner’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Pilsner’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Pilsner’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
