ROSALIE NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Rosalie Best Guess for Breed: Boxer/Lab Mix Best Guess for Age: 1.5 years as of April 2025 SEX: Female Approximate Weight: 46 lbs Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Currently Living at: Shelter, needs a forever home! Check out this video of Rosalie: https://youtu.be/AtxFpXCKqJE. Special Adoption Considerations: Due to the high demand for fosters, Rosalie’s only way for a freedom ride to DC is with an off-transport adoption with 2-week trial. Please submit a questionnaire if you’d like to give her a chance at finding her forever home! Rosalie is looking for: Her forever family! As a young puppy, she landed in a shelter so far south in Texas, it's only 30 miles from the Mexican border - and the shelter routinely has 1200+ animals in its care. Despite having such an enormous number to care for, shelter staff do an amazing job with all their dogs and Rosalie is a great, loving dog and wonderful with other dogs, Unfortunately, there is a massively skewed ratio of available homes to dogs in the area - so her only hope of getting a home is out of state. This is a personal message from her about what she is looking for in a home:"A loving family who can give me plenty of exercise and attention. I have a playful spirit and enjoy long walks, playing fetch, and exploring new places. My favorite thing is to be around my humans, whether we’re playing or just relaxing together. Will you make my dreams come true?" What My Foster Says About Me: Rosalie has had a little time in a home outside of the shelter in Texas, here are Rosalie's comments on her adventure: "Hi! I’m just returning from a Paw-jama Party, and I had so much fun! The family I was with said I was an extremely cuddly, loving, and sweet girl, and boy did I have fun!...Now, for a little about me…. I have so much love to give. I get along really well with other dogs, kids, people. Squirrels I find very interesting, and may be known to chase them. But that’s a conversation for another day. I am a carbohydrates girl and love being rewarded with bread, pastries, pasta, you name it!...I also really love water, and lounging by water. Pools, buckets, getting a bath, you name it, I love water. And my other passion is fetching balls and toys. Just for a few minutes, and then I’ll take pets and cuddling and just being by your side...I am excited to meet you soon and be your faithful furry companion!" Adopt Rosalie and Receive Rosalie's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Rosalie's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Rosalie's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Rosalie, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Rosalie's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Rosalie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Rosalie’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Rosalie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Rosalie’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
