About this Dog
TAN KING - 5 years old, 80 pounds, house trained, good with calm dogs, likes kids, no cats please. New VBACAC resident KING is a sweet and quiet boy (so far) after being surrendered when his owner was not allowed big dogs. He had only had King for a couple of months after taking King in when he was abandoned by another person. King has spent most of the last two months outside and now finds himself behind bars. He is nervous but slowly coming out of his shell. We know he loves to play. We are told he loves toys and balls. We know he loves to go for walks. He easily followed me outside. He investigated the yard and came to me when he saw the treats. He even got close up and personal on his own, right in my face. He wants to be loved, he wants the attention but he wants it and needs it on his own time, at his own pace. King enjoys the company of other calm dogs and has been known to whine when any playmate is gone. We are told he has not been around children so at the very least, supervision around any child will be important. His eyes look deep into you, they are mesmerizing. He has some loss of fur on his back and nose. Help us find a stable and secure new home for this 5-year-old who loves to go for walks and loves to chew on rawhides. King is currently in our large dog adoption kennel so come on in to meet him! Bring any resident dog in for a meet and greet!
