About this Dog
ARIANNA - 1 year old, 45 pounds, house trained, needs time to warm up to new people Arianna is a new resident at VBACAC having been surrendered for her reactivity to new people. To the ones she knows, she is loving, affectionate and playful. To the ones she does not know she needs to be given space and allowed to approach new people at her own pace in her own time. Everyone you see does not need to pet her. We are told she is more reactive when people walk towards and up to her. On the other hand, we are told Arianna is friendly and playful to children and other dogs. She even lived with a cat which she would try to play with. She loves going for walks but, being silly and spirited, Arianna will chase after everything but the kitchen sink! Please hold onto that leash! Arianna does not like being left alone. She has shown this by chewing and messing up floors and her crate. Many of the above behaviors can be managed with continued training. Seeing as Arianna is still so incredibly young, daily and ongoing training will most likely help curb and ultimately erase the behaviors. Arianna is otherwise a happy and jubilant girl who loves to run, play with toys and snuggle. Her bright white fur with brown patches and one brown eye will definitely make you smile. She is currently in a back kennel so if you come in to meet her and don't see her, please just ask.
