About this Dog
BLUE - 5 1/2 years old, 70 pounds, house trained, loves to go for walks, playful, no young children. BLUE is back! It is unfortunate we haven't quite found his forever home but we are learning so much more about him and hoping the third time is the charm for him. This short stocky low rider is too adorable with his cropped ears and rotund, oops I should say round tummy, and short legs. He trots around somewhat bowlegged with a cutesy smile on his bulky head. His most recent adoption ended when housing became an issue and his family could no longer properly care for him. He is house trained and can be trusted roaming free in a home even when left alone. He loves going for walks and might, just might, try to chase bikes or critters while on the walk. Keep your hands on that leash! Blue is dog tolerant. He enjoys being around other respectful dogs but if another dog pushes his buttons, he is not easy to correct. We use water and instead of being deterred, Blue tries to eat the water. Funny but not funny LOL Blue has shown some resource guarding behavior with food and toys. We are happy to help with recommendations to manage this. He is quick to warm up to new people but proper introductions are best. Treats speed this process up with this hungry hippo! Blue is hanging in a back kennel for now so if you come in to meet him, with any resident dog, and don't see him, please just ask!

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and 177467 Blue was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, 177467 Blue’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the 177467 Blue’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, 177467 Blue’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
