About this Dog
Check out this love! We are calling him Forrest, since his girlfriend Jenny made a lasting impression on him recently. Forrest came into our care as a stray, and recently was treated to a rabies shot so that he could successfully be handled and treated to outings if anyone wants to take him on a great adventure. We’re pretty sure Forrest was a successful hunter, because in addition to those long legs and energy he has a propensity for alerting when he sees something exciting. That particular prey was a cat in a carrier that he spied. He told us about it for several minutes afterwards, letting us know that he knows about critters, and he was willing to share! If he is your missing hound dog, you certainly lost a quality companion! He is now Campbell county property, and we would love for you to come and visit him. His adoption fee is sponsored with an approved application. Call the shelter at 434-821-4416, or if you’d like to adopt, start with an application application from our website, friendsofcampbellcounty.org. PLEASE NOTE: This pet has been posted by Friends of Campbell County Animal Control, Rustburg, VA. For questions about the pet, please email us at [email protected]. All adoptions begin with an application, found under the "Animals" tab on our website, friendsofcampbellcounty.org. *Unaltered babies under the age of six months can be adopted only to residents of Campbell County, the City of Lynchburg, and counties touching Campbell County. *Unaltered adult pets six months or older will need to be sterilized before they can be adopted outside our local area of Campbell County, the City of Lynchburg, or counties touching Campbell. *We do not promote dog adoptions to homes where an invisible fence is the fencing of choice. *We do not permit cats or kittens to be declawed following adoption.
