About this Dog
TRU is looking for a home. We appreciate that his family tried to find him a home with other humans, but it didn’t work out and he landed back in their care. Yes his neck is a mess because of an E collar that was used on him. (E-collars should never be used on dogs under the age of one year.) Tru is about six months old, is good with cats, and is scared of smaller dogs. That might be specific to the home where he is now, or it might be generalized. It does not appear that he is current with vaccines, and since he is being placed from his current home to an adopter, we would not guarantee vaccines are done. We appreciate that he is welcome to stay in his own home while he looks for a new family. If you’re interested in finding out more about Tru, you can start with an application and we will forward it to his family. PLEASE NOTE: This pet has been posted by Friends of Campbell County Animal Control, Rustburg, VA. For questions about the pet, please email us at [email protected]. All adoptions begin with an application, found under the "Animals" tab on our website, friendsofcampbellcounty.org. *Unaltered babies under the age of six months can be adopted only to residents of Campbell County, the City of Lynchburg, and counties touching Campbell County. *Unaltered adult pets six months or older will need to be sterilized before they can be adopted outside our local area of Campbell County, the City of Lynchburg, or counties touching Campbell. *We do not promote dog adoptions to homes where an invisible fence is the fencing of choice. *We do not permit cats or kittens to be declawed following adoption.

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Tru: “My Home to Yours”, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Tru: “My Home to Yours”'s contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Tru: “My Home to Yours” was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Tru: “My Home to Yours”’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Tru: “My Home to Yours”’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Tru: “My Home to Yours”’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
