About this Dog
We named this boy LEE, most likely because he was found on Leesville Road. (Sometimes we forget!) He is a middle-aged boy, and has a few scabs and healed scars that he could tell stories about if he was so inclined. Lee does not appear to like other male dogs, even if they are neutered, but this could be because of the stress of being in a full shelter where there are female dogs in full-blown heat hanging out as well. We all know how disruptive it can be to have a mix of unsterilized girls and boys in the same area. Lee is now available for adoption, and would probably thrive as an only dog. He has had no issues with humans whatsoever, just other dogs. Maybe you recognize him? Perhaps he is a stray but you know where he lives. He’s at the shelter, 434-821-4416.. We PLEASE NOTE: This pet has been posted by Friends of Campbell County Animal Control, Rustburg, VA. For questions about the pet, please email us at [email protected]. All adoptions begin with an application, found under the "Animals" tab on our website, friendsofcampbellcounty.org. *Unaltered babies under the age of six months can be adopted only to residents of Campbell County, the City of Lynchburg, and counties touching Campbell County. *Unaltered adult pets six months or older will need to be sterilized before they can be adopted outside our local area of Campbell County, the City of Lynchburg, or counties touching Campbell. *We do not promote dog adoptions to homes where an invisible fence is the fencing of choice. *We do not permit cats or kittens to be declawed following adoption.

Adopt Lee: At shelter and Receive Lee: At shelter's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Lee: At shelter's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Lee: At shelter's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Lee: At shelter, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Lee: At shelter's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Lee: At shelter was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Lee: At shelter’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Lee: At shelter’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Lee: At shelter’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
