About this Dog
Meet Whiskey, a 3.5-year-old, 45 lb neutered Husky with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He’s housetrained, great with children, and plays well with other dogs. Whiskey is being rehomed due to housing changes, and while he’d love to stay with his big brother Bear, he’s ready to thrive in a loving home—solo or together. If you’ve ever wanted a husky without the drama, Whiskey’s your guy. Apply to adopt, and we’ll forward your info to his current family: Please apply to adopt by going to our website at www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org. We have had numerous requests from citizens in our county to help them rehome their pets, but they are willing to keep them in the home until it happens, rather than bring them to the overflowing shelter at Campbell County Animal Control near Yellow Branch. We are listing those cats and dogs on our website as "My Home to Yours." We ask that interested adopters fill out the FOAC application, and we will pass it along to the family wanting to rehome. We cannot guarantee health, temperament, or behavior for these pets, as we have not met them. However, we are happy to act as a resource for issues that may arise. For pets not spayed or neutered, we are happy to help set that up!

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Whiskey: "My Home to Yours" was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Whiskey: "My Home to Yours"’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Whiskey: "My Home to Yours"’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Whiskey: "My Home to Yours"’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
