About this Dog
Sweet Jewel is in need of a most understanding home! This precious almost-four-year-old is back with us in foster care after being adopted for nearly a year, a year where her seizures from unknown causes were under control, since she was given her meds on a regular schedule. At some point, however, her adoptive family chose not to continue the protocol and allowed her daily med treatment to lapse. After two more months, they opted to just surrender her back to the shelter, because it apparently was too costly and too difficult to keep up with a dog requiring daily care. We get that not everyone can manage a dog with medical needs, but this is all maintenance now, and you could not find a more loving dog than sweet Jewel! She loves having a pack to run with, and sleep with, and she is good with not only other dogs, but also with cats! Hounds and cats make a great team, and then, if you add toddlers and young children to the mix, it's even better! Arrange to meet Jewel by completing an application.
