About this Dog
BELLA: one year old, adjusting to all things new around her, was spayed on Thursday. We have found with Bella she needs some time to figure out that people can be friends and no one is going to hurt her. Yesterday, following her spay surgery, she rode home on my lap from the shelter. Her head was resting against my chest and she was snoring. I was sad that 2 miles ended quickly. She was settled in her kennel run by 4:30 PM, and then the storms rolled in. No rest for the weary! Bella is ready to adopt now. Her four-way heartworm test was negative, she is microchip. And she is house trained. We don’t think she has had much experience with other dogs so needs a nice quiet dog companion who just really doesn’t care. One who can show her the ropes, ignore her when she is reactive, and help her learn to love life again, despite being signed over to the shelter. We can do this! www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org. Things can change for shelter dogs really fast. Bella had been at the shelter for a few days, but she was so scared, she wouldn't risk interacting with anyone. She sat in the corner, shaking and barking out of fear. We knew she wanted to go outside. Everybody wants to go outside! So we dropped a slip lead around her neck and invited her to go for a walk and immediately her guard was down, and she enjoyed walking outside. Today, things got better and better! Even though the shelter was technically closed, Bella had a ball in the office and made sure things kept running smoothly—especially when it came to keeping the volunteers in line! This girl has personality for days. She’s fun, vibrant, and full of life. Whether she’s bouncing around looking for a squeaky toy or giving you that “let’s go do something!” look, Bella brings energy and joy wherever she goes. We can’t wait for her to find a family who will love her for the smart, spunky, silly pup she is. Because let’s be real—every good team needs a Bella. Adopt Bella: At shelter and Receive Bella: At shelter's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Bella: At shelter's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Bella: At shelter's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Bella: At shelter, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Bella: At shelter's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Bella: At shelter was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Bella: At shelter’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Bella: At shelter’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Bella: At shelter’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
