You can see more beautiful dogs by visiting our Adoptable Dogs page. *** Check Out My Video Album Below! *** Hanzo is a gentle sweetheart who has young pup energy and is learning that people can be counted on for love and affection. He is learning his house manners and how to walk on a leash without pulling when he gets excited. He loves riding in the car and all kinds of snacks. He is housebroken and enjoys both inside and outside time. Found as a stray, he’s somewhat submissive around people, but is friendly and his foster mom thinks he would do well with an active family. Hanzo has soft, white fur and he is expected to be about 110 pounds when he fills out a bit. Despite his size, he is gentle and doesn’t jump, but instead softly lays his head on you for affection. His ideal family would include some children or other dogs for him to play with! At his foster home, he especially loves playing with the other female Pyrs that are around his age. A 6-foot fenced in yard for those play dates would be awesome! Our relationship doesn’t end with adoption, as we continue to support adopters throughout the lifetime of their dog. Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.
