About this Dog
Socks is a very friendly guy who loves to snuggle....with both his people and other dogs. He gets along great with dogs of all shapes and sizes! Currently, he lives with four dogs in his foster home. When the weather's nice, you'll find him soaking up the rays, enjoying a good 'sunbathe.' Socks is crate trained, housebroken, and knows how to use a doggy door – wow, talk about convenient! He understands basic commands and responds well to gentle verbal corrections. Socks has mastered 'sit,' 'stay' (most of the time!), and even knows to 'move' when he's claiming your favorite spot on the couch. He loves chewing on hard bones and one of his favorite activities is digging through his toy box searching for treasures. He will happily amuse himself searching for "toy box" treasures. He also loves emptying the toy box! When you pick up his toys and put them back in the box, he's happy emptying it all over again. Socks is definitely a pup who is the best of both worlds. Because he's young, we are sure he’d enjoy being in an active home with lots of activities. He'd also enjoy spending time in the great outdoors camping, hiking and all that fun stuff! His gentle nature makes him a perfect companion for anyone seeking a loving and adaptable furry friend and his youth makes him a wonderful companion for outdoor adventures.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Socks was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Socks’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Socks’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Socks’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
