About this Cat
Miss Stuart is as sweet as she can be. She was abandoned at a boat dock in Brookneal, heavily pregnant, and brought into foster care in the nick of time. Less than a week after getting settled, she had three healthy kittens - JJ, Cheerio, and Yo-Yo - and has been a fantastic mama since then. Quiet, affectionate, happy, and waiting for her forever companion, Stuart will race to meet you at the door when you come home. She leans into head scratches and melts when you rub her tummy. A premier biscuit-maker, she has the most endearing little trill when she purrs that comes out most when she is deeply happy. When not managing her little family, Stuart enjoys lap cuddles and movie nights when she is guaranteed at least two hours of uninterrupted petting. She is litter box trained, very tidy with her food, and has not demonstrated any destructive behaviors in foster care. Good with other cats and children of all sizes. Unknown if good with dogs, but we can do an adoption trial if needed, to ensure she fits in well with resident animals. She will be spayed and ready to go to her forever home after her kittens are weaned, likely after the first or second week of August. This cat's adoption fee is $75. Many cats do so much better in pairs, especially kittens, which is why we offer a reduced adoption fee of $25 for the second cat (or more!). We welcome applications from outside the Lynchburg area; just keep in mind that non-local adopters must wait till the cat is altered before taking it home.

This is to ensure that the home is a good match and *Stuart (female) was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, *Stuart (female)’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the *Stuart (female)’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, *Stuart (female)’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
