About this Cat
Meet Bubbles Q: Why should a person or family adopt you? Bubbles: Because every home needs a gentle, loving soul to remind us that it is okay to watch the birds and admire the flowers in the spring outside the window, nap, chill and watch tv, eat, and nap. Q: Are you one of those loud, obnoxious types? Bubbles: I am quiet but will meow if you need a reminder to feed me so I do not miss a meal! Did I mention my gorgeous big green eyes and cute “moustache”-like markings around my mouth and that I am a chill, low-key dame? Q: How would you describe yourself? Bubbles: You will love my quiet, low-key, mellow being. Don’t mistake that for shyness. I'm a mellow lady who enjoys peaceful, predictable moments. Although I can be independent and do not require a lot of attention, I crave companionship. Q: What are your hobbies? Bubbles: I like to watch tv with my foster mom. I spend my days laying or napping on her desk extension in her home office where I can peer out the window or lay on her desk while she works. I am not a distraction but enjoy getting a scratch or two behind my ears or on my neck or chin when she can spare a minute from work. Recently I have discovered that if I sit next to, or “palm”, the treat jar on her desk, she will take a break from work and give me a treat and pets!!! I love to sit and sleep on a soft fleece throw on foster mom’s sofa which I access with a step stool. Q: Do you have any endearing qualities? Bubbles: As a mature cat, you do not need to worry about me jumping on furniture and knocking off the crystal or other valuables! I also do not claw furniture. Q: What are your living needs? Bubbles: Not much different than most cats and humans: water, food, shelter, reasonable health care. Quiet home with places to be near my human and to chill and nap. Breakfast and dinner – wet/canned 3 oz. (I am not a picky eater, currently I eat Friskie’s poultry pate variety case from Walmart) and dry (urinary tract friendly food, Purina One or Iams, available at Walmart or PetSmart). Clean water in bowl. Litter box (currently I use eco-friendly newspaper pellet litter in a litter box hidden in a piece of cat furniture). Thyroid and chronic arthritis pain medications (less than $50 per month, added to my wet food every day). Step stool to access sofa or other off-the-ground places where I nap or sleep. Treats (I prefer Temptations chicken). Kind, predictable human companion. A few toys I can bat around on the floor would be nice too! My foster parent will send along my fav pillow with towels, my raised food bowl, and my litter box. Believe it or not, I also eat the canned urinary care cat food that most cats refuse to eat if you choose to feed that to me periodically or regularly (less than $3 a day). No other pets, except maybe a fish. Q: Any concluding thoughts? Bubbles: Although I am a senior cat, I am alert and enjoying life and am a loyal companion. I’m not a celebrity, but I have my own photo album: Bubbles | Flickr or URL: https://www.flickr.com/photos/foster_cats/albums/72177720323831003. To continue to thrive, I need a quiet home with a predictable, responsible owner. I will reward you continually with companionship, adoring looks, head bumps, and purrs when you pet me and will be forever grateful for our mutual companionship as I enjoy my senior years. Adopt Bubbles and Receive Bubbles's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Bubbles's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Bubbles's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Bubbles, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Bubbles's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Bubbles was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Bubbles’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Bubbles’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Bubbles’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
