Old man Guy is around 13 years old and was found abandoned in a back yard. He LOVES people and is ready to share his love. We do feel that he needs a home with kids 13 years or older. He is very set in his ways and we feel this would best to make everyone comfy. We are unsure of him with cats and super slow and patient introductions is best. He has played with a dog here at the shelter and done great! We will require a dog test to see how everyone gets along. He could benefit from some training to help with his manners and teach boundaries. He walks ok on leash. He enjoys going on walks and running around in the play yard. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Guy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Guy’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Guy’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Guy’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
