About this Cat
Lenny is a SUPER sweet, gentle cat who had a rough life before we rescued him . His estimated date of birth is 8/2018. His first 6 years he lived in a hoarding situation with many other cats. Another rescue organization intervened and removed all the cats except Lenny. We don't know why he was left behind. It's possible (we hate to think this, but who knows) it was because Lenny has an obvious limp. An Xray of his back leg revealed he has an old injury - his kneecap was at some point dislocated and has healed with lots of scar tissue around it. It can't be fixed and he now has arthritis in that leg. But Lenny gets around fine! He jumps, he plays, and the leg is not sensitive to touch. We give him a simple arthritis pain shot once a month. He doesn't complain at all, it's quick and easy and doesn't require a vet visit - we can show you how to do it at home. (Or you can take him in to a vet for it - he travels well). Lenny deserves a loving home - he has tons of love to give and he's a cat who you can just tell is grateful for companionship and affection. When he first arrived, Lenny was terrified to the point of shaking. We worried about him. But once he realized he was safe and we loved him, he transformed! Now he's calm and enjoys us and his roommates. He greets us with a very quiet meow. He sits on our lap. He loves head and chin scratches. He's an old soul and a true love bug! Please give this boy the life he deserves - don't let his limp deter you - visit him and see what you think. You'll fall in love. We want to make adopting easy for you! Here’s our application: https://form.jotform.com/232837730565159 Once you complete it, we’re on it! We’ll call your vet (or personal reference) the next business day. Then we like to do a brief video chat (FaceTime if you have it) so you can show us your new pet’s home - where they’ll sleep, eat, and play. During our chat, we can also give you tips or answer questions about how to successfully integrate your new family member into your household, especially if you have other pets. Our adoption fee is $150 and covers our costs of spay/neuter, vaccinations, vet exam, and supplies. (Once old enough, all our cats are current on their shots and have been spayed/neutered.) We’re a strictly no-kill shelter just for cats. We’re cage-free, donation-based, and volunteer-powered. We’re small but special and we’re glad you found us! For more info don’t hesitate to call or text us at 540-987-6050 or email us at [email protected].

Adopt Lenny and Receive Lenny's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Lenny's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Lenny's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Lenny, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Lenny's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Lenny was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Lenny’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Lenny’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Lenny’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
