About this Cat
Meet Gus Gus and Ducky! These babies have been through a lot together. Found as strays with their siblings, they were taken to a local shelter when they soon found themselves on the euthanasia list due to the shelter being at capacity. Both came into our care with severe eye infections, but after weeks of antibiotics, eye treatments, and minor surgery, they’re thriving—and ready for their forever home!Gus, the sleek all-black gentleman, has about 50% vision in one eye and sees shadows in the other eye, brother Ducky, a black and white tuxedo, is blind in one eye and can see shadows in the other eye. But you would never know it by the way they play, climb, and explore! These two are active, curious, and full of life. Ducky has an incredible sense of hearing (he once tracked down a fly using only sound!), while Gus is the steady, affectionate sidekick. They love a good adventure, but once they’ve explored, they’re happiest when snuggled close to their human. In a brand-new or large space, they may need a little time to map things out, but they adapt quickly. Vision-impaired cats don’t require extra-special care—just keep everything - food, water, litter, and furniture in consistent spots, and offer toys that make sound such as crinkly balls or balls with bells, or have a scent to them (catnip toys)..Gus and Ducky are bonded for life and must be adopted together. (There is a $55 discount for two.)They’re truly two halves of one heart, ready to fill your home with joy, laughter, and more purrs than you thought possible. Their perfect home would be a quiet, low to moderate activity home with either no kids or kids ovr the age of 12 years old,Both are/will be dewormed, received their FVRCP vaccine and booster, rabies vaccine, combo tested negative, and are microchipped with a lifetime registration. You won't need to pay every year to reregister, we've done it for you.Interested in these boys? Please fill out a digital application at: https://submit.jotform.com/221029453063044

Adopt Ducky *kitten* and Receive Ducky *kitten*'s Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Ducky *kitten*'s new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Ducky *kitten*'s current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Ducky *kitten*, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Ducky *kitten*'s contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Ducky *kitten* was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Ducky *kitten*’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Ducky *kitten*’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Ducky *kitten*’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
