Meet Pepper, a little black kitten, just about 12 - 15 weeks old. Pepper’s story began in a scary place – she was found as a tiny kitten, just a few weeks old, lying in a tire rut on a scorching day, barely moving, with her little eyes full of infection. We weren't sure she was going to make it, but thanks to Good Samaritans taking quick action, she came into care and was treated immediately.Pepper is a playful, loving little girl. She is sight-impaired (mostly in her left eye), but you would never know it watching her chase feather toys with all the energy of any healthy kitten! Once completely black, she’s now growing in stunning silver hairs through her coat – giving her a magical, starry look that’s just as unique as her story.She’s a lean, quiet girl who saves her voice for when it matters, but she adores playtime and will happily accept pets when she decides it’s time for love. Pepper is looking for a forever home where she can shine as the special, resilient little star she is. Pepper's purrfect home would be a low activity home with children 9 or older.Pepper is/will be dewormed, receive her FVRCP vaccine and booster, a rabies vaccine, spayed, combo tested negative, and will be microchipped with a lifetime registartion. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Pepper *kitten* was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Pepper *kitten*’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Pepper *kitten*’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Pepper *kitten*’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
