About this Cat
Ollie was adopted in 2021 with his sister, Dixie. Fast forward to 2023, both Dixie and Ollle were forced to live outside by their adopter, which is not allowed per our contract. Ollie and Dixie went separate ways. Dixie was found a year later by someone who had been feeding her. Once we found Dixie, we realized Ollie was missing. We put out a lost cat post and soon he was found. He had been living outdoors as someone's porch cat for a year and a half. We picked him up and he was immediately taken to the vet. He had an abcess on his neck that turned out to be an imbedded tooth. We believe he had been attacked by other cats and quite possibly a dog. We tried to reintroduce him to his sister and it did not go well. Neither Dixie nor Ollie appear to like other cats now. Who can blame them? We believe they had to fend off other cats for survival. We believe the best home for Olllie will be where he is an only cat and one which will pay him lots of attention. After all he has been through, he still loves people and attention. He really just wants a lap to sit on. We are requiriing an experienced owner with no small kids, becasue he seems to have a desire to slip out the door again. So his adopter would need to ensure he would not have an opportunity to escape. We really think after all he has experienced, he deservers a home that will spoil him. Adopt Ollie and Receive Ollie's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Ollie's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Ollie's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Ollie, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Ollie's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Ollie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Ollie’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Ollie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Ollie’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
