About this Cat
Opal's Personality Miss Opal is a firecracker tuxedo...a confident, playful, and friendly little girl. She’s got a bright personality and the softest fur you’ll ever pet! She’s curious, full of energy and always ready to chase a toy mouse, a feather wand, or race around the house. Opal has taken a liking to lounging in the sun on a window perch, watching the birds and dogs from the window. When she’s all tuckered out, she happily curls up near you for a nap. Her favorite spot is the crook of your neck if you’re lying down! She has a tiny squeak of a meow, loves chatting with you - and has a tendency to be a little escape artist. No door stands in her way! She has excellent kitten manners. What Type of Home Opal Needs Opal needs a loving home where her people have time to nurture her little personality. She adapts quickly to new people and new places so will do well in a moderately active home. We have not seen her interact with kids but she would do fine with older cat-savvy kids. We are also pairing Opal up with another kitten, Curie (posted separately), and they now need to be adopted as a pair. Where Opal Came From Opal had found her way to a loving family via someone who was 'handing out kittens.' Luckily they knew she needed careful placement and took her in knowing they would seek help from a rescue organization to ensure she gets the right life-long home.

Adopt Opal and Receive Opal's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Opal's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Opal's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Opal, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Opal's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Opal was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Opal’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Opal’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Opal’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
