Andrey’s Personality Andrey is a handsome orange marble tabby with pretty markings and bluish-green eyes. He settled easily into his foster home, not hiding one bit, enjoying exploring his new surroundings. Andrey is a bold and playful "teenager" just a little beyond kitten stage,. So, his personality will continue to develop and he will let us know what he wants to be when he grows up! Andrey may want to be a professional athlete, because he adores playing with toys. He says fishing poles are fun. And he tries to join in tennis matches by patting the players on TV. But is favorite game is when you put your arm underneath a cloth and he pounces or wrestles with it. Andrey is also contemplating being a lumberjack because he loves to climb and sleep in his cat tree. Or, maybe he could be a baker. He's already an expert at making biscuits, even in the air! When Andrey slows down, he loves to cuddle with you and purr, and enjoys being petted. What Type of Home Andrey Needs Andrey needs a home where he will get plenty of playtime and interaction with toys and people. He needs interaction to burn off his energy. Andrey thrives on being around people and doesn't like being left alone for long periods of time. He would do great with a family with older cat-savvy kids. We were hoping he would enjoy a kitty companion because of his playfulness, but so far he hasn't done well with the two resident cats in his foster home. Its possible he wasn't socialized with other cat in his early months and doesn't understand how to play with them. So for now, it looks like he needs to be the only kitty in his forever home. Where Andrey Came From Andrey was found outdoors in sweltering hot weather underweight and exhausted from the heat. Luckily he was found by a kind man whose neighbor happened to be an SPCA NOVA volunteer. Now safely indoors, Andrey is enjoying a safe indoor life filled with toys and a loving foster mom.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Andrey was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Andrey’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Andrey’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Andrey’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
