About this Dog
Meet Henry! This tiny 5 lb, 7-month-old Shih Tzu is such a joy! He's wide open, fearless, and ready for life's next adventure. Found as a stray, Henry arrived with a matted coat and open wounds on his back and head that are healing well. He also had an eye ulcer that was treated with drops. He will likely have a small residual scar, but he can see fine, and it doesn't slow him down one bit. Thankfully, a Good Samaritan took Henry in and reached out to rescue for help...that was his lucky day. For the past two weeks, Henry has been living happily in foster care with two dogs and a cat. He loves to play (sometimes like an enthusiastic little brother) and would thrive with another playful pup. When his friends need a break, Henry will happily entertain himself with toys. He loves his toy treasures and carries his favorites to bed at night. Henry is sweet, sassy, and endlessly friendly. He gives kisses to everyone he meets, loves pets and scratches, and enjoys exploring the backyard with zero fear. Henry is not a hyper dog; he has normal puppy energy with fun, playful puppy energy bursts followed by naps. He's about 75% potty trained, with the only accidents happening overnight. His foster mom gates him in a room when she’s away, and is slowly introducing the crate. He’s very trainable. Henry arrives in the DC metro area on 8/30. Apply today to meet this adorable nugget! Adopt Henry and Receive Henry's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Henry's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Henry's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Henry, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Henry's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Henry was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Henry’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Henry’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Henry’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
