Meet this sweet little girl named Pancake. Pancake is currently living with her foster family who call her Pancake Jean. They describe her as affectionate, intelligent, protective, and low energy. She loves a 30 minute walk each day and playing a few rounds of fetch - after, she just wants to cuddle. She loves older children, and would probably be fine with little ones too, but she hasn't been around them with her foster family. Pancake is excellent with dogs and cats! Pancake Jean is growing more confident each day. She will thrive with a family who will continue to make sure that she feels safe and secure. Her foster mom describes Pancake Jean as needing a "leader", not an alpha, but someone who confidently tells her that all is well. Pancake comes to us from a rescue in Southwest Virginia. She started her life in rescue as a momma with puppies. Now her puppies have found homes and it is her turn to find her forever home. Pancake has a Guardian Angel in Hudson T! For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Pancake was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Pancake’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Pancake’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Pancake’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
