About this Dog
Meet Mary. This sweet girl was surrendered to a local shelter just days before Christmas, very pregnant, and with a large chain around her neck, indicating the quality of life she came from. Their facility was already over capacity, so they set up a temporary spot in their bathroom and put out a plea to the rescue community for help. The next morning, Mary gave birth to 12 puppies, and thankfully, Worthy Dog was able to find a fabulous foster home for Mary to care for her pups. She did an excellent job nursing her large brood and all of her puppies are safely in rescue. Now it’s Mary’s turn to be the priority and find her forever home. Mary is still in her foster home living with a mom, dad, another dog, and two kitties. She has been puppy-free for a few weeks and is learning what it’s like to be a family dog. Since the puppies have left, she’s become more curious and playful. When left alone, she can get into things, so her foster parents have worked on her crate training and giving high-value treats when it’s crate time. She will now go in on her own to nap...Good girl Mary! She’s housetrained and will let you know when she needs to go out. She has learned some basic commands, like “sit,” “down,” and “come.” Mary has proven to be a very sweet, gentle soul who loves to be around people and makes friendly quickly. She greets new people with a wagging tail, loves to snuggle, and will lean into you for pets. She is very gentle and has been around kids ages 1 to 10 years old with no issues. She doesn’t jump on them and is very respectful. She’s also good with both cats and dogs of all sizes. Mary's favorite things include: romping around the yard with her pack and she's a big fan of treats too! This pretty pup is ready to start her new life and will make an excellent family dog. She will do best with an engaged family with a flexible schedule, and a dog buddy in the home will be key. Mary has been spayed and fully vetted. She will be coming to the DC metro area in late March/early April and is ready to take the next step in her journey home. Apply today! Adopt Mary and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Mary's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Mary's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Mary, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Mary's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Mary was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Mary’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Mary’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Mary’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
