About this Cat
Dallas and Seaweed's Personalities This brother-sister pair are friendly, loving and too adorable for words. Never a dull moment with these kittens. They are playful but not wildly rambunctious. And the have the SOFTEST fur...perfect for petting. They are often found curled up together as a pair or with their mom Patty (posted separately). Dallas and Seaweed are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. (They could also be adopted with their mama, Patty (posted separately) - an unusual trio who adore each other. We would waive Patty's adoption fee). DALLAS (brown tabby, female) has bold tabby stripes on her sides just like her mama Patty. She is a tab bit more reserved than her brother - Dallas prefers to watch before jumping into the middle of things. You can tell she thinks about things before jumping in or making a move - smart girl to assess her options! But it doesn't take Dallas long to realize "jumping in" means lots of fun. Her brother is a bit more rambunctious than she is, but Dallas can "hold her own" with her brother's rougher antics. Dallas loves being petted and curling up by your side. SEAWEED (black, male) has the sweetest meow, likes to chirp and turns on a loud purr motor when he's happy. He also likes to make biscuits when he's happy or needs comfort (such as when he's nervous at the vet). Seaweed is also bold and playful. His foster mom describes him as "hilarious" - he never wants to miss out on anything! Seaweed runs up to greet you without hesitation and jumps right in to explore new places or new toys. Seaweed is a bit more rambunctious than his sister so he will need a little more playtime with toys to burn off his kitten energy. This boy loves, loves, loves being petted and curling up by your side. What Type of Home They Need These kittens need a quieter, calm home environment as they settle into a new environment. It may take them a little while to get use to new noises and a new home, but once they adapt, they will be as happy as can be. NO dogs, babies or young children. An older cat-savvy child would be fine. Where They Came From Dallas and Seaweed were rescued, along with their mama Patty, when they were just 3 days old. They were living in the home of a kind man who was doing the best he could to care for various stray cats, including moms and kittens, that found their way on to his property.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Dallas and Seaweed was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Dallas and Seaweed’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Dallas and Seaweed’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Dallas and Seaweed’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
