About this Dog
Meet Shu – A Playful, Big-Hearted Pup Ready for His Forever Home! Shu is a playful, big-hearted 5-year-old pittie mix (around 70 lbs) who’s guaranteed to brighten your days. A staff and volunteer favorite during his long shelter stay, Shu got his fresh start thanks to an amazingly supportive team of volunteers who couldn’t stop cheering him on. Now thriving in foster care, Shu is loving life and learning all about being a happy, well-loved dog. He’s treat- and toy-motivated, knows sit, lay down, and drop it, and will do just about anything for a good game of fetch—tennis balls are his ultimate favorite! Shu enjoys the company of other dogs and currently lives with a calm senior pittie, matching her energy with gentle, respectful play. He’s also had fun, successful playdates with younger dogs. On walks, he can be strong at first (there’s so much to see!), but he settles into a nice loose-leash rhythm and really relaxes after his enrichment activities like playtime, long walks, and puzzle games. ✅ House-trained ✅ Not destructive ✅ Enjoys downtime after play and enrichment ✅ Dog-friendly with great social skills Working on building confidence with continued success on alone time Shu would thrive in a home with an experienced adopter who enjoys playtime, outdoor adventures, and snuggles in equal measure. He’s ready to be your loyal sidekick and bring endless smiles to your life. Come meet Shu—you’ll wonder how you ever lived without him!

100% of Shu's balance will be sent to whoever adopts Shu.
Adopt Shu and Receive Shu's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Shu's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Shu's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Shu, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Shu's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Shu was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Shu’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Shu’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Shu’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
