About this Dog
Kahlo is a 1.5 year old cattle dog mix, tri-pod girl that is ready to find her forever home! Kahlo is a shy pup who comes to us from a local tribal reservation where she was discovered with a severe leg injury which required amputation. She has healed up beautifully and is incredibly mobile! As Kahlo started out as a feral dog, she takes a minute to warm up to new people, but with treats and time she is very sweet and loyal. Her favorite things are playing with her doggy friends and lounging in soft dog beds. She also loves toys, bones, belly rubs, and doing zoomies around the yard. She is house and crate trained, and super smart. She sleeps with her foster mom and loves to cuddle at night. She will need a family that can be patient and gentle with her while she continues to learn new things. She has learned to walk on a leash, but can’t go long distances. She will also need to be in a home with minimal stairs, as more than 4 or 5 are difficult for her. Kahlo is house and crate trained, and is trustworthy when left alone in the house. Kahlo will ABSOLUTELY need to have a home with a canine companion and a fenced in yard. Kahlo has a lot of love to give and will make a wonderful companion! If you'd like to meet Kahlo, please fill out an application at http://caws.org/adoption-application. Dogs are not placed on a first come, first served basis but all applications are reviewed for best fit. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200. If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-application

Adopt Kahlo and Receive Kahlo's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Kahlo's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Kahlo's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Kahlo, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Kahlo's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Kahlo was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Kahlo’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Kahlo’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Kahlo’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
