Meet Nelly – Our Elegant Little ExplorerNelly is the definition of charm and resilience wrapped up in soft, jet-black fluff. The tiniest of her litter and the last to be born, she started out as the runt. Once she discovered the joys of wet food, there was no stopping her! She has blossomed into a healthy, confident kitten with striking green eyes and a silky long black coat.Nelly is the most elegant of her siblings, but do not mistake her poise for shyness. She is full of spunk and curiosity! Whether she is perched at the window watching the world go by or approaching new visitors with cautious excitement, Nelly is always eager to explore and make new friends.She has been lovingly raised in a busy foster home with a Great Dane, two adult cats, and four kids, so she is used to lots of activity and affection. We believe she will thrive in a home with other pets and would like her to go to a home that includes another cat or she can be adopted with one of her siblings.We are so excited for Nelly to find a forever family who will cherish her for the amazing little void that she is. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Nelly was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Nelly’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Nelly’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Nelly’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
