Hello, it's nice to meet you. My name is Queenie and, yes, my personality lives up to the name. I tend to be a little shy when you first meet me but give me some treats and some ear scratches and you will soon learn I have a heart of gold. All I want is someone to pet me and tell me I am the prettiest girl in all the land. My list of hobbies include sunning myself and climbing my tower to watch the goings-on in my foster home. The other foster cats in my home are all mellow so we get along well and, in a previous foster home, there was a cat-friendly dog that was OK with me. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Queenie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Queenie’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Queenie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Queenie’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
