About this Dog
Hello, I am Serena Joy and that's just what I am, a total joy! I am a red Husky with striking ice blue eyes and I am about a year old. I am around 55lbs and probably wont get much bigger than this. I took my "freedom ride" on a big packed transport van from New Mexico. There were a lot of other dogs lucky enough to make the trip with me. When my foster mom pulled me off the van she said most of the other dogs around me were very scared and shut down, but not me! I was so happy and excited I was being rescued that I was smiling at her. I have the best disposition! I am a smart girl and am completely potty trained! Using a doggy door has never been a challenge for me. I love the doggy door because it means I get to go sit outside in the nice cold air, mmm my favorite! I love to be with my people but if the choice is being with my people in a hot house or sitting alone in a snowbank then I'm picking the snowbank! If you are into the winter sports then I am your gal! I have a very warm, thick and fluffy coat and boy is it so soft, everyone loves to pet me. I would love to go snowshoeing, sledding, or cross country skiing! Heck you could even train me to pull you on your skis. I love to get out and play and exercise but after some mental and physical stimulation I also enjoy chilling and being lazy. I love kids! and am very gentle with them even when they run around and squeal. I probably wouldn't do very well with cats though, I have shown that I am a little too curious in my neighbor bunnies. I love to play and wrestle with all of my foster siblings! I am respectful of anyone that doesn't want to play and I have good doggy manners when I am meeting new dogs. I don't resource guard but if another dog steals my toys or food I will squeaky bark at them in hopes that they will get so annoyed they will give it back. (It totally works, you should try it sometime). I will crate at night but I don't love to be in my crate during the day especially when all of the action is going on. Occasionally I like to "borrow" things from around the house but when I am caught with my stolen merchandise I immediately return the it to the rightful owner when called. I like to use my paws like a cat when playing with my toys and if you try to take it away I will also bat your hand like a cat would. My foster mom has really enjoyed me and spent a lot of time working on my training. Lately we have been working on my off-leash recall and I am improving so much each week! Please begin the process of claiming Serena Joy's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Serena Joy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Serena Joy’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Serena Joy’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
