Do you know what's better than chocolate? A chocolate colored dog, aka me, Amberlyn! Not only can I make you feel warm and fuzzy inside, I can make you warm & fuzzy on the outside too! I love cuddles! Another plus is I don't add any calories to your diet. In fact I help with keeping you fit, as I love to be active. I'm in the sweet spot of age too. Im only 2 years old and 45lbs. They say I'm a retriever mix of some kind, probably collie or aussie, but who knows. That's why I have an abundance of energy, I guess. I'm up for any activity you want to do hiking, fetch, tug, running, training, maybe even swimming. You name it lets do it. A little secret though is I need a family that will also help me take a chill pill. I can get too wound up from to much activity and I can have a tough time settling. No worries though! I crate really well and it helps settle me down. That being said a house with older kids, 12 years and up would be best. I do also get along with some other dogs but my energy and pushiness to play can be annoying apparently. Don't worry though I'm happy being my own entertainment. Not only am I a great activity buddy but I love to learn. I would love for my family to invest in training classes. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Amberlyn was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Amberlyn’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Amberlyn’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Amberlyn’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
